i'm alright as long as i see the snake from a good distance and can avoid it, but it's when i'm walking through the woods or trying to tie the boat to a tree overhanging the river and they surprise me or i almost step on or grab one that i freak out

^^a boggart is something that assumes the shape of the things that scare you most...it's something from the Harry Potter books.

Well I also just googled it, and Wikipedia says that there are a bunch of different types of versions of it. The ones in Harry Potter are similar to the english folk lore of what a boggart is, only the tale doesn't say it assumes the worst fear.
Overall it's a creature that sucks....

my boggart would assume the shape of a bird or a squirrel
