I'll second Skate Town. There was a Skate Ranch as well, but I think that was in another part of town.

skate town doesn't sound right to me. I know the place you're talking about, but I don't remember the name (it probably is skate town but I have no idea).

I do remember going in there once when I was in elementary school, being creeped out, and begging my mom to take me home immediately.

and skate ranch is still open - it's on trawick rd

it was definitely skate town. I went to elementary/middle/high school with the owner's son. (the kid who would always be playing with legos in the front window/office of skate town.)

Another old school Raleigh place:

Aladdin's Castle...used to be in the Crabtree food court...Then it was called Excalibur or something like that. Now it's a LIDs store.

skate town was off glenwood, skate ranch off capital and huntleigh dr.

does anyone remember discovery zone because that was the shit back in the day...

or Exhillarama which was pretty much the Cary equivalent

haha I remember winning that one time and thinking I was hot shit There was also the hokey pokey where you could win cotton candy. And I remember sucking ass at limbo. And I remember requesting shitty ass songs to be played.

complete with the limbo and the ghost busters game.
