You and your P-90s.That is, if you were the dude on this site always talking about P-90s.
1/29/2010 2:47:33 AM
That would be me. I would like to buy this doublecut outright and keep adding to my collection, but I ain't got the cash for it and the singlecut isn't my #1 Special.

I've been a casual guitar player for about 10 years, and call me out if this sounds like I'm too casual, but I highly doubt I'd be able to discern too much difference between the two.
1/29/2010 3:05:27 AM
There's a pretty serious tone difference between them...not better or worse, just different. They also both sound different than my three other P-90 guitars.Mostly I can't decide whether I dislike the singlecut look as much as I think I do.
1/29/2010 3:08:07 AM
i like what you have more than what you wanna trade it for. but thats just me.
1/29/2010 3:08:33 AM
I've always been a single cut over double cut guy.Les Paul yay.SG nay.
1/29/2010 3:11:16 AM
I hate SGs. But I also hate Les Paul Standards. Also, keep in mind that I already have one of these:...so I've got the TV Yellow thing covered.
1/29/2010 3:14:13 AM
the second looks better IMO but I have no idea what the difference in sound is of course.
1/29/2010 7:24:17 AM
I like the new double cut more than your original double cutbut I don't know that I'd trade that single cut for ityou have a conundrum, sir
1/29/2010 7:54:34 AM
really, the only thing that has me thinking about the singlecut is this photo:which is odd, because johnny thunders is most associated with a doublecut
1/29/2010 8:58:55 AM
keep the single cut, the double looks silly
1/29/2010 9:02:12 AM
woman what you know bout guitars
1/29/2010 9:12:06 AM
nothing except what you've taught me. My opinion is based on looks and the red one looks silly with it's 2 blowbacks hangin out on the sides. Plus its red, ew.
1/29/2010 9:25:33 AM
hey guyz! we're dating but, instead of talking on the phone or in person like a normal couple, we choose to communicate over a message board! cool!carry on.
1/29/2010 9:28:23 AM
You're right.I should definitely make a phone call in order to say, "Woman, what you know 'bout guitars?"
1/29/2010 9:30:02 AM
carry on.
1/29/2010 9:31:06 AM
Decision got made for me...someone rolled in and plunked down the cash for the red one before I could solidify a trade deal.No biggie, that means I still have a use for the custom set of P-90s I had made for the singlecut.

1/29/2010 7:42:38 PM

^^ that's a tough question to answer without sounding like a jerki'm not the best player in town by any meansbut i'd say i can hold my own with the second tier of professional players around here
1/30/2010 3:10:15 AM
^^^So I guess you're rubbed raw all the time pretty much.Rich noobs be gettin they play on.
1/30/2010 3:15:36 AM
while i was at the guitar shop a guy bought a 1956 gibson lap steelwhen he came in, someone else (a guy who's a very good lap steel player) was playing itonce the player left, this other guy bought it because it's a 1956 gibson...he didn't even play lap steeli am 99% sure he's going to part it out, especially for the pickupdespite the fact that it's a beautiful 100% original guitar, and the guy who was playing it made it sound wonderfuli hate people who buy wonderful instruments to hang them on a wall or part them outit's no wonder that the dude who bought it was talking about the mesa triple rectifier he owns...an amp that is owned only by ultra-heavy metal players or rich douchebags
