\they won't even let the bestiality people give their sheepdog rim-job promotion anymore. fucking draconian
1/29/2010 4:16:53 PM
but what if the gay dating ad featured Tim Tebow?
1/29/2010 4:17:39 PM
I guess the mancrunching will have to continue at highway rest stops.
1/29/2010 4:18:07 PM
I hope all the idiots in that sports talk thread come here to say that they're just as pissed about this ad being pulled.
1/29/2010 4:18:32 PM
as long as i can scope out some sweet sweet teebow man meat, saying that having babies just can't be beat
1/29/2010 4:19:01 PM
Oh dear, somebody somewhere might be offended! Because the TV networks are usually such bastions of family values...
1/29/2010 4:33:20 PM
good
1/29/2010 4:37:53 PM
well I'd venture to say that the nfl is not even a big homosexual tv market anyways...
1/29/2010 4:39:40 PM
I'd also venture to say this isn't exactly an undesirable outcome for their marketing department. Obviously they'd love to air the ad, but the news coverage of this is bunch of free coverage.

This is an ideal outcome for this site. They were talking about this all day on ESPN and on sports talk radio. They saved 3 mil and they're getting all kinds of pub that they frankly might not have gotten if it had aired. Most commercials are forgotten by the end of the game. In most cases you only remember 1 or 2.

waiting for bighitsunday to come in here and complain about how some people just need to get off the gays case and even though erone has an opinion doesn't mean you gotta discuss it
1/29/2010 5:21:01 PM
shut the fuck up

They're getting way more media coverage this way than 30seconds during the superbowl. This is the best thing that could have happened to them,Plus they won't be out 300k or whatever they charge nowadays [Edited on January 29, 2010 at 5:55 PM. Reason : asspirates]

^^While I know many gay people who are into football (for example the mayor of chapel hill is gay & I've seen him raise his voice to the tv screen when a football game is on, on more than one occasion), I'm betting the marketing people who came up with this ad knew exactly what they were doing & what would happen.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VMqHb03p74&feature=channelSomeone embed. There is no way they would use a crap made commercial like that in the Super Bowl if they in fact were granted a spot. It was a publicity stunt, nothing more.
