and eggs!french toast for all!
1/30/2010 8:22:33 AM
i never understood either, reallyif the power goes out lots of people have gas stoves, grills, or at least can make dun dun dun....FIREEEEEand in the event i'm not cooking, i would rather eat something else besides bread.
1/30/2010 8:23:35 AM
I was under the impression that milk and bread have excellent anti-snow properties.
1/30/2010 8:24:30 AM
from my understanding it has more to do with surviving after the immediate crisis, when grocery stores can't restock because the delivery trucks are all broken down.
1/30/2010 8:29:45 AM
did it snuuuuu more than a inch?
1/30/2010 8:32:11 AM
I had to go to Food Lion to buy cat food last night...They have Natural Light 24 case for $9.99. I saw a redneck loading up the back of his car w/ like 10 cases. SNOW PARTY!

1/30/2010 9:30:21 AM

haha stupid assholes
1/30/2010 9:53:04 AM
i mean, as long as we have power, I got plenty of shit I can cookjust got no milk (actually do have bread)... I just don't have normal "snow" materials because
1/30/2010 9:57:18 AM
1/30/2010 10:17:45 AM
when the weather calls for snow, it never fails...i actually *do* need bread and/or milk. i hate that the grocery store people think i'm making panic buys, even though i would've bought those items without the threat of wintery weather.
1/30/2010 10:18:04 AM
1/30/2010 10:51:08 AM
you may want to kill yourself now to not suffer the breadless and milkless death that snow brings.
1/30/2010 11:34:46 AM
i never got this shit. i always have tons of food thats not frozen to eat. Milk is gross anyways. I'll be eating bush's baked beans for the next 3 days if i have to and thats fuck load better than plain bread after all the power goes out and you have to throw away all your meat/cheese [Edited on January 30, 2010 at 11:41 AM. Reason : ]
1/30/2010 11:41:00 AM
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. What I love even more is people stocking up on frozen food in the event of snow.Frankly, most folks have a solid couple of weeks worth of food in their pantry so panic shopping is pretty unnecessary unless you legitimately believe that you're going to be trapped in your home for weeks on end.

1/30/2010 12:20:28 PM
Yeah, great idea... if you don't mind being mauled by bears!
1/30/2010 12:23:40 PM
if you don't open your fridge every 5 seconds after the power goes out you can keep your stuff cold for a good while
1/30/2010 12:24:47 PM
all the food is non-perishable when it's below freezing [Edited on January 30, 2010 at 12:25 PM. Reason : ^few hours at best]
1/30/2010 12:25:09 PM
Just pack some snow in your freezer.
1/30/2010 12:26:34 PM
haha i bet some dumb fuck would do that

milk is essential for mehow else am I suppose to make my adult chocolate milk? (milk + bailey's mint chocolate irish cream)
1/30/2010 2:36:26 PM
The only thing I bought last night was a half gallon of 100 proof Cpt Morgans and a 2 liter coke. Im set for the weekend
1/30/2010 2:37:32 PM
look y'allfolks don't go specifically for milk and breadthey go to the grocery store and get food in case they can't get out. milk and bread are things that most folks pick up at the grocery store just about every time they go.when everyone goes at once, the milk and bread sell out and it looks like that's all that folks are buying.

nobody goes and gets just milk and bread. what you guys are overlooking is that when everyone goes shopping at the same time milk and bread are the two common products almost everyone buys. examplei buyeggsfrosted flakessteakmilkbreadyou buybeerspighettimilkbreadhe buyslettucebananasausagemilkbreadwhen everyone shops milk and bread are going to be the basic things to run out first.

I went to Wal-Mart for groceries, and it was madness.Normally, people have their carts filled about halfway up with a box of Twinkies hidden in the back behind the sensible items. The snow apparently made folks go crazy and pile their carts past the brim with junk food. It was awesome.

I still think milk is targeted for purchase due to some crazy idea that the stores will run out and no milk will be available for a week.On Friday after I received a milk delivery at around 10:00am I had already sold through a pallet by 2:00pm. That's almost 300 gallons of milk. Some people were leaving with two and three gallons in hand.[Edited on January 30, 2010 at 6:53 PM. Reason : 3]
