HT has Duraflame logs, which are not the same but will make you a fire if you're desperate. Food Lion may also, but I haven't actually looked.

step 1) acquire chainsaw
step 2) find dead tree
step 3) cut tree
step 4) create logs
step 5) split logs

I think I'm just going to try to track down some of those duraflames. They're expensive as hell though.

[Edited on January 30, 2010 at 8:41 PM. Reason : ^^ Haven't thought of them yet, thanks.]

I turned 30 a week ago. I saved 4 large christmas trees from christmas and during my birthday bash at my house, we burned them. jesus christ the flames were literally taller than my house (and my house is very tall.)

anyway, we eventually ran out of christmas trees, so we went on wood raiding parties to take wood from the wooded areas around the golf course i live on. suffice it to say, my trees were pruned around my house and i didn't need to pay anyone.

now, i'm not advocating buring pine or anything in your fireplace, but damn it was fun burning those trees.

Go down 401 about a mile past Tryon. There is a dude on the right selling firewood, or at least was last time I bought from him. $40/100 pieces

MASON HAWFIELD used to chop wood for his friends and neighbors and anyone who wanted any. He was a king.

RIP MASON HAWFIELD, the only man with the balls to regularly die at home.
