I would assume more negative than positive ITT.

Good Deed Examples
-Helping an elderly person across the street.
-Pushing someone out of a ditch.
-Finding a wallet and returning it(before maxing out the cards and spending the money)
-Deciding to not troll this thread.

Come on TWW prove me wrong. Some of you have to have a heart.

I paid for a ladies groceries at Walmart last night because she was putting stuff back after the total went over $20. It made me sad. She was kind of speechless.

I felt good about it after doing so.

I found a man's wallet on the road in Cary, FULL of cash, cards, etc.

I google mapped his address which was a good 25 miles away, drove his wallet to him fully in tact.

What's more, he tried to give me a $20 bill for troubles, and I told him not to sweat it.

I walked outside of a high school dance when I was 16, heard a woman scream. I tried to find the source, realized it was coming from a gas station across the street...went over there, called my friend Morgan to come help, and we found a pregnant lady sitting against the building nearly hyperventilating. We sat w/ her (middle of December), held her hands, called an ambulance, and waited a good 20 minutes with her til it came. We got some award from the Sheriff's Dept next week.

Really, I've honestly done a lot of good deeds. They kinda come natural. I'm always halping people.

that's not a good deed... that's enabling a person to live outside of their means, furthering their dependence on handouts from society.

in vietnam my friend's luggage got lost so i lent her clothes for 3 days. then she got mugged and i spotted her for the whole trip.

someone also dropped their passport in the air port and didn't notice and i picked it up and told them. losing your passport is not a good thing.

The person in front of me at the grocery store the other day left their car keys at self-checkout. I ran outside and gave them back. They would have had to come back anyway though.

I don't normally like to talk about my good deeds...I don't do them to recieve praise from other people I just do them cause they need to be done.

yeah i dont get it

i think talking about your good deed negates the goodness of doing it in the first place

so because of that, i won't post the volumes of good deeds i do every day

Taoism
Quote :
"Just as the number One can never be reduced to zero, once we act or speak, our action or speech is never completely erased. Sow good and the harvest will be good. Sow evil and reap evil. We must understand that everything we do comes back to ourselves. Therefore, before wishing for our own happiness and welfare and that of our children, we must do good in secret. To do good in secret means to act without seeking attention and praise, to act without any hope of reward. This is called Intoku."

"When you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you….so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you (Matthew 6:2,4)"

I couldn't find any Jewish or Islamic quotes about it, so I can only assume that they're all for bragging.

See people, if you're going to just slam someone instead of making a counter argument, this is the way to do it. Well done.

I was chilling on the street, just hanging out. Some weird guy insisted that I take his can of oranges. After feeding, I recycled the can.
