2/1/2010 8:52:29 AM

2/1/2010 9:27:03 AM
When I was at state UT was full of freshmen who would later be frat boys and sorority girls. That guy looks more like someone out of the jersey shore than a frat guy (at least in the south).
2/1/2010 9:30:43 AM
My freshman brother lived there my senior year at stateso I swooped in for the free meals, free pool and free freshmen[Edited on February 1, 2010 at 9:31 AM. Reason : x]
2/1/2010 9:31:22 AM
i lived in ut and was not in a sorority. and neither were any of my friends.defying the odds.
2/1/2010 9:31:30 AM
no doubt, statistically though, most UT residents went on to populate housing on frat court.
2/1/2010 9:32:32 AM
yeah, my bro was like a case study in frat progessionFreshman year, UT, meets douche friends, douche friends convince him to join PKASophmore year, PKA houseJr. Year, off campus house with douche friends, unofficial offcampus PKA party padI have to say tho, being an older brother, the girls that flock solely for the reason he's in a frat, make me almost regret no joining one myself
2/1/2010 9:35:29 AM
I lived in UT way back when...like the second year it was open.
2/1/2010 9:40:25 AM

2/1/2010 9:40:53 AM
<-------------2 years
2/1/2010 9:51:56 AM
I didn't, but my pledge brothers did.The absence of operable windows overshadowed anything nice about the place. Those people were assholes to the cleaning crew, too.I had friends that lived in the UNC version, as well. Shithole, as well.[Edited on February 1, 2010 at 10:03 AM. Reason : ]

2/1/2010 10:10:10 AM
I was going to live in UT but my dad was against it. I stayed there ALL the time and ate breakfast there often during my freshman year just staying with friends. I def was different than the friends I hung out with, they were def girlie girls and sorority types.[Edited on February 1, 2010 at 10:12 AM. Reason : with]
2/1/2010 10:10:35 AM
i'm a grad student and my first year i thought about living there solely on the fact i knew i'd get laid a ton cause all the 18yo girls would be asking me to buy beer for them.but apparently you can only live there during the schoolyear. They kick everyone out for the summer. And you have to use their shitty furniture
2/1/2010 10:22:54 AM
cant turn a hoe into a house wife. a lot of the slutty girls that lived there are now getting married to well to do guys. if only they knew.
2/1/2010 10:28:35 AM
<-------2 yearsbut im cool
2/1/2010 10:30:22 AM
my parents told me i was crazy if i thought they were going to pay for me to live in a "luxury" dorm. my dad said i was already living in luxury because i had a microfridge and a television.
2/1/2010 10:31:57 AM
I lived there as a freshman...basically for the AC and the parking. I needed my car for work. Amazingly, I never ended up in a fraternity and neither did the friends I made who were my neighbors on my hall. We are all still pretty close. Pros:foodroom sizeease of boozingparkingpoolhot girlsCons:windowsfrat/sorority pledges EVERYWHEREcostI would say that if I had to do it again, I would probably live on campus, although I have no idea how they compare because I never lived on campus myself.

There were some people that I met in UT that were sketch as fuck. Actually, there were into much more serious shit than anyone I knew from the dorms.
2/1/2010 10:44:09 AM
i KNOW that is the funny part (kind of how i was taken out of public school and put into private school for high school...the people get MORE sketch)but UT was a punishment for me and that is how i viewed it at the time. and that is what my parents were using it for...but it wasn't so bad once i got over myself.[Edited on February 1, 2010 at 10:45 AM. Reason : .]
2/1/2010 10:45:00 AM
hmmmyea i thought this was about tennessee
2/1/2010 10:45:36 AM
How it UT punishment?Thats like saying the Hyatt is punishment when everyone else is at the Comfort Inn
2/1/2010 10:46:27 AM
hahaha.because i had already spent 2 years in college, i was 20 so i was older than everyone, i had already lived off campus...but i wasn't allowed when i transferred to state (also a punishment).i spent my first two years drunk and high at the college of charleston spending all my parents money and making bad decisions. so...my choices: UT or home. i guess i'm lucky i had a choice.
2/1/2010 10:48:08 AM
^cant turn a hoe into a housewife
2/1/2010 11:09:38 AM
yes but it was then at the ripe old age of 20 that i learned the value of kick ass grades and keeping a jobif you hold down a job and have a good gpa, no one cares how you spend your recreational time.
2/1/2010 11:18:50 AM
2/1/2010 11:55:51 AM

2/1/2010 12:04:53 PM
JUDGMENT ITT
2/1/2010 12:21:13 PM
I lived there for 5 yearsmy first 2 years, i had a procession of 4 douche bag roommates, who probably hated me as much as I did them, but once I started getting roommates younger than me, they acted like the respected me (cause I could buy their beer)my last year, i had a full size refrigerator in my room, and it was nearly always full
2/1/2010 12:21:57 PM
I lived in UT for approximately 24 hours of my first semester at NCSU. Everybody was partying and running the halls with obvious red cups drunk and shit on the first night, and I'd been told the place was cool.I didn't know they paid off-duty police officers to patrol the halls for marijuana smoke during the first week so they could kick you out, keep all your money for violating the lease, and move another paying customer into your spot.I had to move out the day after I moved in, which was still during move-in weekend. So while the elevators were packed with happy freshmen and their friends/families moving in, I was the sweaty girl going down the elevator with all my stuff and trying not to cry while people stared at me uncomfortably.
2/1/2010 12:32:35 PM
Lived there for 2 years in a single with a friend as a suite mate who was also a single so we only had two people sharing a bathroom. Also had a bunch of friends with rooms on the same hall so we pretty much had our own little corner of UT and just raised hell, some of the best times of my college career were had at that place.
2/1/2010 12:33:11 PM
Oh God, it was so awful. It took like ten trips to get all my shit out alone.People I knew on the elevator were like, "Bridget, you're at UT! Yay! What floor are you on?"And I was like, "Uhhh, I *voice crack* was on the fifth floor..."
2/1/2010 12:36:18 PM
Lived there my freshman year, but kept a meal card there for about 4 years.
