Just a heads up, there's a pretty good sale going on at Jos A Bank. Buy one, get 2nd 75% off, third for free. Apparently this applies to all suits, shirts, and ties.

I'm thinking about taking advantage of this. I need a suit for a presentation I have to give at work, I may as well go ahead and stock up.

There is something fucked about a business that gives me a "corporate card" because of a large purchase I made (I bought seersuckers for my groomsmen there) and then when I go to use it on something that wasn't specifically on sale, they tell me the "standard discount" is better than the corporate card.

Shits always on sale there. The Jos A Bank business model pisses me off.

yeah, they have these pretty nice deals every once in a while. this seems like one of them...

none of their business casual wear ever seems to appeal to me though. suits might be a different story. I just have to ask myself, do I really need another suit right now?

Anybody who buys anything there at 'regular' price has been totally conned.

^^^what do you suggest, men's warehouse or something?

^^i only have one suit, i bought it 4 or 5 years ago, but never really liked the way it fit. i rarely have occasion to wear a suit, so buying three may be overkill.

nah, after hearing that, you would be in good shape.
I'm not sure what your line of business is... but I think it's pretty good form to have at least 1 different suit for every day of the week. You never know when something might come up

you'll probably catch some good deals closer to the end of winter as well

My roommate and I took advantage of the buy 1, get 2 free deal last year. He had a gift certificate for graduation and took 2 of the suits and I paid the half of the difference. I think I ended us getting a suit with 2 pants for about $100, which is a great deal. So, yes, 3 suits may be overkill, but just go in with a friend or 2 and split the cost of the first suit.

This is an appropriate thread to ask this question. I got suits there recently. I know how much i paid per suit... It was during a sale. I'm curious as to what a suit should cost... not a crazy good sale... just a standard JABanks quality suit at a reasonable price.
