The 1-10 scale is totally arbitrary. A 10 is different for everyone.

That said, I need a guy who is funny. Like, really funny. I'm rarely serious and I don't mesh well with super serious types. They don't get me.

They must be at least as smart as me. Otherwise I just get frustrated. And then I make snarky, sarcastic comments that they don't understand. If they butcher the English language in emails, then I get irritated. I'm a grammar Nazi. And a bit of a bitch at times. Ask any of my exes.

They must work out or play sports. Exercise/fitness is very important to me and I need to be with someone with similar priorities. I've dated boys who weren't into fitness and they didn't understand just why I run marathons. I need a guy who understands my competitive/physical side.

As a result, I tend to go for guys with nice bodies. But again, I'm a health nut and fitness is a priority to me. My last bf lost 40 lbs in the first 4 months of dating me. I cook healthy foods and I like to work out with my boyfriend, so it affects them in the long run.

Dong: as long as he knows what he's doing, I don't care.

Also, I need a guy who doesn't worry if I go out with girlfriends/colleagues at least once or twice a week. I'm very independent and I do NOT deal well with being smothered. And I need my alone time. Sometimes I go for long runs just to be alone for a moment.

Money isn't a problem unless he makes it a problem. One of my boyfriends found out that I made twice his salary and then he became convinced that I thought less of him for it. It definitely hurt our relationship. I'd rather not know his income, at least early in the relationship.
