propane tanks that power my gas logs. They just ran out. Where do you get these things refilled? They are like 5 ft tall.

Piedmont Natural Gas is probably as good as any. That's what people that I know use.

Gas company should be coming and checking them regularly. However you can expect to pay $300+ to fill up 2 of the big ones....

here's what you do... find another tank that is full somewhere. Disconnect it from whatever it may be connected to, and shut off the valves to both your tank and the other tank. Run a hose from your tank to the other tank. Then open both valves at the same time. wait a couple minutes, then turn off both valves. reconnect the other tank to whatever it was originally connected to, and go on about your business

You have to call a gas company to go out and do it......look on the side and see if a sticker says what company owns the tanks, sometimes the company owns the tanks and loans/leases the for the duration of the service.
