This thread is severely deficient in POSSUM: (yes, 1980, but the spirit is correct)Also, one of my favorite duets ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaY2l-ZPLGU

Should probably not just include the 70s seeing as the greatest country singer of all time died in the early 50s.Nevertheless I approve of this thread[Edited on February 11, 2010 at 7:06 PM. Reason : as]

Damn, I wish there was something like that west of raleigh. I know of a few out of SW Va that I can get in the mountains, but I haven't found any that come in in Lexington

98.3 in NW NC is another great classic country stationThere are some good AM stations in the hills of Surry and Alleghany counties, too[Edited on February 11, 2010 at 7:59 PM. Reason : apparently 98.3 is broadcast in HP, I've only ever been able to pick it up north and west of Winston]

I have a crate of sweet 70s country records with just about every artist in this thread if not all of them. Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, Tammy Wynette, Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings, Glen Campbell...It's all there...and most of them several times over. Good stuff, but it doesn't get much play these days. Make interesting trade offers if anyone is interested.[Edited on February 11, 2010 at 11:04 PM. Reason : l]
