Do about an hour or two of cardio per day and do high-rep, low-weight sets on free weights.

Go to the gym and lift weights like a man.

A mix of cardio and weights. If you need a structured workout plan, try Crossfit or P90X. If structured workouts aren't your thing, then run your ass off and lift weights.

Also, eat clean. Working out is useless if you eat garbage.

Get you some sexercise. Pelvic thrusts and penis curls work wonders for the male physique.

lots of cardio and lift heavy, combined with restricting your caloric intake.

yup- and get some good cardio- and also make sure you get plenty of protein... you don't want to burn away your muscle if you are gonna start cutting down on caloric intake. Also, it might seem obvious, but cut down on beer/alcohol and complex carbs

it's kind of ridiculous how many people have this "omfg I don't want to look like a man/body builder" mentality. Like it's that easy for it to happen, especially if you are female.

situps and crunches.

Seriously.

Swimming is by far the healthiest thing you could do for your body.

starting on November 1st, I did a 20-25 minute weight lifting session every day and walked between 1-2.5 miles. I cut out soda and have only had alcohol 3 times. So far I am down 21 pounds to 175.

eat at maintenance, recompose with weight training and cardio....no program is better/best, some exercise is better than none, find something you like/enjoy/good at and you'll likely stick with it

Graduated from Law School last May at a staggering 317 lbs.

Currently at 264. That's -53 lbs. Goal is 220 by July's Bar Exam (27th-28th)

I can now bench more than my body weight for the first time, and I'm *this* close to passing an army physical fitness test. Just have to bring my run down and get a few more situps in.

Since January, I've been going to the gym 4 days a week, hit heavy-few reps monday and friday, light weights -more reps on tuesday and thursday. Mondays and Thursdays are Chest, Tri's, and Shoulders... Tuesdays and Fridays are Back, Biceps, and Legs.

It's worked wonders for me.

what's "toning" ?

Is that like when you adjust the toner in the printer, or like when you adjust your monitor?

Try to look like a body builder and you might end up "toning." Try to "tone" and you won't get anywhere.

go to the gym 5 times a week and do 50 gazillion reps with pussy weights and then run on the treadmill for an hour. do this for 1-2 months until you get tired of it, then put all your weight back on and then some. OR

do a smaller amount of cardio, spend less time in the gym but push yourself on the weights, cut out a lot of junk food but not all, and continue to do that for years instead of burning out

You're not going to bulk up unless you're eating a ton of protein and calories.
