I like naruto until it decides to go into some massive arc storyline that has nothing to do with the actual story.

This interest has mostly faded for me, with good enough reasons.

One of my housemates epitomizes what can happen if you cling too much to fantasy-driven worlds and obsess over poorly perceived ideas about another culture you wish to be a part of.

^Fuck yes. The inherent--and as a former fan I can say this--childishness of anime is balanced out when what you're watching can be said to have noteworthy characters and an awesome story--and no, Naruto turned into a filing cabinet of characters with unnecessary stories that weighted it down until it just snapped.

Cowboy Bebop = Awesome
Baccano! (much lesser known, but still on Hulu) = Awesome
FLCL = Awesome, but basically the length of a movie
