So Nick Simmons, son of rocker Gene Simmons, has a comic series called "Incarnate."

And some people noticed that some of the frames appeared "similar" to those found in the Bleach comic strip.

Well, similar isn't really the word. I'll let you decide:

This last one is especially hilarious, because if you notice... he traced it so well that he traced the voice bubble of the original strip and made it some giant out of proportion arm:




In response, the publisher of his comic strip has ceased all production while they investigate.

I'm not comic book expert, and it does look like he probably ripped off the first one, but it's not exactly like some of those frames are all that original. I mean, you could probably find dozens of very similar frames to that chick crying or the guy punching through the air.

not surprising, even if he didn't consciously copy elements i'm sure they at least played a very strong part in his layout and artistic slant.... though you are right some of them do look very copied.... while others are so generic in style and quality even if they have a high % correlation you still couldnt be certain as 100+ other manga probably have the same exact shot
