sometimes, I feel like going down a staircase a little bit sideways is more comfortable than walking down it facing straight ahead.has anyone else noticed this or am I a freakazoid like elephant man?

I've noticed that I do it too...I think it has something to do with your body having more 'stopping power' when you're sideways instead of facing straight.Again, not completely sideways... just turned at a small angle.

I dont use stairs... shit comes to me

^^ yep, just a slight angle... It's more pronounced the evening of a really intense leg workout so it must have something to do with muscle strength.[Edited on March 13, 2010 at 3:44 PM. Reason : s]

I've noticed it. I wonder if it's a big feet thing -- I wear size 13 (mens).

I walk down stairs at a slight angle or sideways. Depends on the staircase. It feels more stable and less painful to walk down stairs sideways when they're narrow. Size 12 mens, here.I walk up/down staircases on ships perpendicular, though. Despite being uncomfortable it's the only way to go down the ladders without dying.
