Why would Patrick be Paddy for short? I saw a thread the other day on here saying that Paddy is masculine and Patty is feminine but I don't get it...

i still contend that unless you are going in for one beer, that going to an irish bar on st patricks day in NC is retarded... there are only like 3 to choose from here, and everyone and their brother is going to be slammed into those bars


if you live in a place like Philly, Boston, or NYC that has plenty of irish bars to spread out the crowds, then that is one thing. The fact that your 2 choices, plus maybe a couple more are the only "irish pubs" in Raleigh suggests that it will be waaaaay over crowded.



that being said, I heard one of the 2 of those places is going to be serving guiness for 5 bucks a pop, so don't go to that one (i mean- who does that on st patricks day? jerks...)
