i've got a number of bare spots from where i moved the blueberry bushes, and of course there's the area where my dumbass neighbors drove through my yard (but i've actually got grass growing there, after i filled it in and seeded a few weeks ago)...a couple of areas are a bit bare, so i thought i'd seed the whole of my front and back yards, but i'm not sure what to plant

i don't really care if it goes dormant (brown) in the winter, as long as it's fairly easy to maintain (drought tolerant, especially) during the summer...suggestions?

don't seed fescue this time of year, it will not be mature enough to handle the summer and die out.

It's not quite time to plant bermuda, but if you're seeding in the spring, that's probably the way to go. But you'd probably want to wait a few weeks.

When you're done dicking around you'll want one of these:

or

That REBEL seed ain't no joke - but it's like $60/50lbs. They also make alternative blends if Fescue is not your thing.
