it's across from the "welcome to wilmington" sign which i would say is the northern end
i wasn't talking about the city limits

i'd say the middle of wilmington is like where the mall is

After they got rid of the byob. forced everyone to drink bud light products and moved it the battle ship, it ain't the same any more.

they do a lot of stuff. my father-in-law works with fiber optics

he said that the smoke detectors didn't go off b/c the fire was above them (in the ceiling/roof area). a plane flying over saw it and reported it. the only people there right now are people just fixing things and investigating. everyone else got the night off.

I'm an engineer there. We're the worlds largest optical fiber manufacturer. Thats all I'm allowed to say.

FWIW. My buddy was onsite helping put out the fire. It was contained pretty quickly (as you can see from how quickly the news article changed) and also.. Corning is pretty "well contained" for such a plant and is more on the edge of Wilmington. Not "right in the middle". AKA close to where 40 ends and S. College Rd. begins.

The fire must have been caused by someone getting through the training and getting their free cake.
