i have XM. i use the FM transmission to broadcast my favorite 80s jams because a) i don't have the plug in option and b) i would use the tape deck but my tape deck has never seemed to work. don't hate on the tape deck.

well i used to use 104.7 to transmit signal but this morning it became a mexican music station.

i spent a good 10 minutes this morning (instead of driving into work early like i had planned to) trying to find a new station to transmit signal.

halp! does anyone know of a decent fuzzy station so i can continue to rock out while paying $$ to listen to my 80s.

tww is a blog.

i was able to get decent signal with 93.3 but only because it is a Greenville channel that no longer broadcasts in Raleigh.

i'll try the 2 you suggested m52ncsu.

Stein, ay caramba is right! i was so pissed!

I use 95.3, which is a station around here somewhere - but my Sirius radio is an older one and has a higher powered FM transmitter than any of the new ones.

This site worked best for me, Cassie... I hated having it because I had to change it all the time when I was driving more than like 3 miles.

I was so frustrated by it I bought a new faceplate with a plug-in option!

Thanks Bryan! I'll have to check out that website.

i wish my tape deck wasn't a POS. it's never really worked. it keeps spitting out tapes after about 10-30 seconds. i should take it into the dealership since it should still be under warranty.

When I was using the FM transmitter I used the very first frequency my radio could pick up, which I think was 87.7 and I always had pretty good luck with it.

Depends on what kind of car you have, but some cars (mostly shitty American older ones) have removable antennas. I used to just unscrew the antenna then it didn't matter what station I used.

well the mariachi band stopped playing on 104.7 and it's back to static. wohoo!

^ my antena is on my roof and i think it's attached (it's like a little nub) so i don't think its removeable but that's a good idea!

I use 92.1 for my sirius receiver. I used to get a great signal on 92.7 but it starting getting nothing but static about a year ago.
