well, in regards to the "to" field being his own email address, that's how lists are sometimes handled at ncsu...he didn't really send it to himself, he sent it to his class roster, which shows up as his own email addresshe can't help the "from" fieldand if the subject is indeed "jonathan phillips," it's a perfectly valid (and informative!) subject line

this kid might have understood it better if it were sent via facebook

I thought this was going to be about Dr. Baliga. He talked about himself so much I was sure his life and accomplishments would be on various tests.

The subject of the e-mail wasn't about him at all, and normally when he e-mails the list-serv it is to a different address. But I do apologize for sharing something with ya'll that I thought would make you chuckle or at least smile. You may continue with your joyless day now.

If you are CCing or BCCing others, you still need someone in the TO: field that can be seen by others, maybe he has it set up this way so no email addresses for others are visible, and he didn't do it listserv style.

I can understand in the To: field and obviously in the From: field, the main thing is the subject. When you look at it, you see his name for every field; I found it quite amusing.
