Did you have one when you were a kid?

No, I wasn't gay.

Had one in sixth grade. Thought I was cool.

Lol...I know this old chick (~42) who still wears one of those. She's pretty cute and stays in shape, but her 80's hair and clothing totally gives it away. You know she probably got that thing right after college or some junk.

I was not cool enough to have one.Or rather my parents couldn't afford anything more expensive than family dollar level clothing. When I was like 9 my parents bought me some semi-worn out nikes from goodwill. I was the happiest motherfucker on the block. I wore them for two years. By then they were about three sizes too small, but I knew there was no way in hell I was getting another pair of nikes, and my parents had to pretty much hold me down and pry them out of my hands. That's how I felt about the Starter jackets, but I don't remember ever wanting one of these. I guess I could have gotten one for Christmas, but no way were my parents dropping $100 on a jacket unless it got them out of some other expense. It's pretty funny when you consider that between my ski coats, leather jacket, fleeces, down, vests, etc I probably have $2k in torso outerwear now. Were these things expensive? I'll feel bad if my parents didn't eat for a week so I could have one
