What I dislike about watching most NBA games is the total apathy of most of the people at the game. I struggle to call them fans because, at least the lower level we see on tv, most people are sitting quietly on their asses.

Yeah. The 8,000 strong at 60% of State games shows them!

Non-NFL pro sports in general are conducive to less than rabid fans in the regular season because there are so many home games.

^^ I don't know what that means but the NHL is so much worse than the NBA in overall attendance and ratings that it's not even close...

The two loudest venues I've ever been to both were in the NBA playoffs. MSG in '99 for the Eastern Conference Finals and three years ago at Oracle for Game 3 of the second round (the Baron Davis dunk game).

i love that you post a link to support your argument that is from 2008 and then shows numbers from that season where the nba won almost every time so the guy has to talk about how the nba exaggerates numbers. of course nhl would never do such a thing.

then he tries to act like it doesnt matter that the nhl is on fucking vs. of course more fans are at the game, they prob have no choice b/c they dont get vs.

and prob about 30 million better per game in tv audience.
