my robe for grad school is pretty fugly. i think that its really hard to make those things attractive AND to look good in the stupid hats. our hats are retarded. apparently the hats/robes were the "schools gift to us"

yet somehow i'm pretty sure i paid for it - considering i shelled out a $175 graduation fee in oct (plus tuition etc). haha.

yea elon seems pretty stingy too considering its a private school and they're rolling in $$$$.

but really i just want my degree. i didn't order a diploma frame like i did at state i'm a little sad. but they're expensive and i figure they're gonna sell 'em every year so i can always buy one later or get it from somewhere else.

i did NOT get tricked into buying announcements from the school this time (i did at state, of course then it was my mom paying so i didn't really pay attention). i just did my own. cheaper and they looked classier.

^ they (and my school too) really like to try to take you for all you're worth even after you've spent YEARS giving them money. ugh

ahhhh yea i forgot about the wedding gifts - better than grad gifts anyway (have you gotten any good stuff?). i have a HUGE family that i'm close to so that is who the announcements went to - i didn't do it to get money though. i asked if they give money (or wanted to send something) to just donate it to my 1/2 marathon BUT i have a feeling some people will still do both donation and gift. sigh.

i don't need fancy pens with my name engraved on them lol. i don't even have a job
