I guess Slim's is cool if you're middle-aged and still trying desperately to cling to that bit of rebellious youth you think is left inside you. Or if you listen to rockabilly.Landmark is always full of morons/tools, and the service sucks.
4/10/2010 9:43:23 PM
Landmark has PBRand lots of fixed-gear bikesand tattoos
4/10/2010 10:14:24 PM
4/10/2010 10:15:58 PM
where is landmark? it sounds vaguely familiar.i thought kings closed like 10 years ago.
4/10/2010 10:20:42 PM
^^^ it does?i usually see lesbians or once upon a time frat rats thereno offenseto the frat part. unless you are also a les.
4/10/2010 10:36:43 PM
I've always been fine with Landmark. But I've only really used it as a jumping off point to the rest of the Fayetteville St. places. Think I've only been there late night once and I was wasted.
4/10/2010 10:49:52 PM
does anyone frequent the borough? opinions?

when this summer is kings opening
4/11/2010 2:41:21 AM
I was under the impression that it would be later rather than sooner. But it's scheduled to be a venue for Hopscotch, so I guess it'll be open by early September.
4/11/2010 3:37:26 AM
I vote for the foundation.
4/11/2010 8:22:37 AM
foundation is cool, but i can't afford those fancy dranks all the timelandmark is okay, i like the staff but a lot of random tools are mixed in with the clientelep.s. this thread just illustrates that no bar is like the jp
4/11/2010 8:52:41 AM
wah wah wah gonna cry jackpot closedlandmark is one of the best bars downtown, and if anyone thinks different they're wrong
4/11/2010 10:14:03 AM
People that go to Landmark would say some silly shit like that.
4/11/2010 10:37:26 AM
i wouldn't argue that
4/11/2010 10:38:07 AM
people that are fat, arrogant, chip-on-their-shoulders pretentious hipster shits on The Wolfweb would argue that.[Edited on April 11, 2010 at 10:42 AM. Reason : you guys are the most hilarious think they've-done-something worthless fucks in the history of TWW]
4/11/2010 10:41:48 AM
You're still not making a good case for Landmark.
4/11/2010 10:44:04 AM
You're not making a good case against it, either.I mean, you don't like anything, so I don't even know why you weigh-in (ucwidt?) on things - you're like a real life bearded caricature of Comic Book guy from The Simpsonsnobody needs your fucking constant stream of pretentious negativity
4/11/2010 10:48:34 AM
I like plenty of things. Landmark just doesn't make the cut. I don't know why you're so upset about that.
4/11/2010 10:50:27 AM
I'm not mad at all. I just think your constant negativity shows your lack of character, that's all.

kings isn't around anymore but it's definitely one of the more fun places i've been to in raleigh to see music
4/11/2010 6:42:53 PM
The Borough has a drink called the HowdoyouQ (I think that's the name, it's been a long time since I was last in Raleigh) and it will get you where you want to be. Two of those and you better not drive. Also, as previously stated, while not a gay bar, it is ~, but I've never had a bad time there.
4/11/2010 6:44:56 PM
^it's not flaming like legends but it was definitely clear we were in the minority
4/11/2010 6:47:54 PM
Is the Times not cool anymore?
4/11/2010 6:48:40 PM
^^^^ kings is coming back girlienot til this summer but still^ i love the times. honestly the main reason i don't hang out that much around the fayet st area on weekends is cause places like the times get sooooo freaking packed. it will be better now that the weather is warmer. Landmark is alright if you really, really like Jenga.
4/11/2010 7:05:35 PM
hahaha. i love bars with board gamesdon't hatebut its always too crowded there to play (on the weekends). i prefer going there during the week. and i'm glad that it is getting warmer cause the outside area is nice and makes it MUCH better (crowd wise)
4/11/2010 7:06:34 PM
I must also say that I am a fan of Isaac Hunter's
4/11/2010 7:07:03 PM
It's like when they designed Landmark, they were going for a "hey, young professionals should come here for a drink or two after work/on the weekends" clientele. That doesn't seem to be at all what they get from my experience though.
4/11/2010 7:09:13 PM
4/11/2010 7:40:31 PM
I like Raleigh Times as well.

4/11/2010 7:45:44 PM

4/11/2010 8:08:33 PM
