I flew with them a month ago. Plane was old and shitty, the A/C broke on both of my flights so it was uberhot. Relatively on time though.

sat on the runway at ORD for what felt like FOREVER but it was only an hour

no a/c because they disconnected the airport air but didnt start the engines

a few weeks ago they basically came on and told us that we were going to crash if we flew this particular plane...this was after sitting on the runway for 1.5 hours...i'm at DFW now, waiting for another flight because the delayed first leg of my trip caused me to miss my flight to rdu

these are just 2 instances in a very long line

Do not fly stand-by.

Don't worry, I was a Delta regional pilot before this, so I know the ropes of poverty by now.

Wait, American Eagle is a real thing with planes?

I figured people were just making jokes about how similar the AA name was to the AE clothing brand.

Never had any problems with AA. Online checkin is smooth, and their service on board has never caused me any problems. Last time I got a free upgrade to first class.

I fly a lot for work, this month alone I have flown 8 times and I use American 75percent of the time.
Love them and generally are good, on time and easier now since I am gaining on platinum status.

I can sleep pretty well on a Southwest plane

I just wish that their "business select" was equivalent to first class. all it means is you just get to board earlier and get one free drink

I'll be flying American Airlines to China and back. I'll be on a Embraer RJ140 from RDU to JFK. Then I'll be on a Boeing 777 For about 14 hours to Tokyo. Then i'll be on a 737 with Japan Airlines from Tokyo to Shanghai.

Hopefully the planes won't suck. The Boeing 777 can't be more than 15 years old (introduced in 1995). The 737, who knows how old that is? They've been making them for over 40 years. And it's to my understanding the Embraer RJ140 is a relatively new replacement to the MD-80s they were using.

So, hopefully it won't be too bad with a 777, a Embraer RJ140, and I'm sure the 737 will be fine to, as it's through a Japanese carrier.

Something about 9/11... perhaps even the picture of the second plane at impact.

bingo...

on a more thread-worthy note, if you're over 6'....you're screwed for as long as your flight lasts.

Flight plan to Australia on two different occasions...at 6'7

RDU to Dallas Fort Worth

" " to LAX

LAX to Melbourne (around 16 hours)

Melbourne to Adelaide

Total of ~28 hours in the air

I'm a short person, so height isn't too big of an issue.
