Just curious. I haven't been in too many relationships; but in each relationship I HAVE been involved in, I was always glad, when the dust had settled and all the pain/drama was over and done with, that I'd met the girl and known/loved her. I've never had a relationship in which I could look back, at the end, and say "I wish I'd never seen that bitch's face." In the end, it was always worth it.

I wonder, however, if this phenomenon is more or less universal, or just a result of the fact that I haven't yet met the cold, hard bitch who'd make me wish I'd never met her.

so far, I've had 3 relationships of 3 years each... the first one was my first real girlfriend, the first girl i had sex with, etc.. and i still think about her, so that one was something i regret ending. the middle serious one was kinda a blur the entire time, she's an awesome girl but i don't really remember anything about it. and the last, we're still good friends, and probably will be for a long time, but it just wasn't really what i wanted so i can't complain..

wasted 2+ years on one, who has caused me a staggering amount of trouble (not to mention financial expense...$12k+/year, plus the $11k or so I've spent with my lawyer over the past few years). Still is a pain in my ass, though not as bad now as she once was.

On the other hand, I wouldn't have my little girl without her, so I hesitate to say that I regret it.

I said I regret one because now that it's finally it's over between us I regret that I allowed myself to get sucked in. He did some damage to me. I got into it when I was 16 and it's been going on way to long...We let it die out right after Christmas, and haven't really talked much since then...but yeah, I regret it very much.
