OK I understand the dude was riding too fast and pulling wheelies on a public road, but seriously, pulling a gun on him for that? Unmarked car, undercover cop, no badge, and a fucking gun... that's gotta be scary! So he got a ticket and was let go but the cops turned up at his place after a few days and confiscated 6 computers and his helmet cam because making an audio recording of someone without their consent is a felony in MD! (but making a video recording without consent isn't? that's stupid)ABC News:http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0410/725740.htmlABC News Video: (also shows the helmet cam and interviews the biker)http://www.wjla.com/news/stories/0410/725740_video.htmlJust the gun drawing:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHjjF55M8JQLonger video showing biker's wheelies and speeding:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7PC9cZEWCQGood points that any judge should see:

i admit that i haven't read the article(s), but by "no badge" do you mean the cop literally did not have a badge?i'm pretty sure i'd assume i was being robbed at gunpoint if the "cop" didn't have a badge
4/19/2010 3:41:28 PM
Ha who remember's The HelmetCam show from playboy tv?If you like it kind of nasty? Helmetcam's got itTight shot on the pussy? Helmetcam's got it
4/19/2010 3:41:30 PM
Wrong place for this, 03pTii1.But, yeah. The officer hopped out of an unmarked car with no badge displayed and a gun drawn. If the cyclist had been a CCW, that could have ended badly. To compound it, once the guy posted the video online (something that's completely legal by the way) the cop got his panties in a wad and ordered a raid on the guy's house.I hope this cop gets fired at the least, but that's not likely to happen.
4/19/2010 3:43:16 PM
Yeah, I would have assumed that either my bike was getting stolen or it was some random crazy pulling a gun on me.
4/19/2010 3:45:29 PM
what a damn moron. pulling wheelies on a public road is so 1991.
4/19/2010 3:48:28 PM
This illegal recording charge has no chance to stand up in court.[Edited on April 19, 2010 at 3:52 PM. Reason : Also cops should be required to display a badge before drawing a gun]

I got pulled by an undercover SWAT team member when I was on my bikeI thought it was a jokeuntil 7 sherriff officers and a state trooper showed up, seconds later(notice the officer right behind him as soon as the guy gets out of the car)

jesus aren't there badges that are attached to clothing? how about one on his jeans pocket, covered by his shirt? just pull the shirt up and the biker can see it.edit: ok, it is on his belt, but only because some user said it is there. i don't really see it.[Edited on April 19, 2010 at 4:02 PM. You'd think pulling a gun would only be used in extreme situations where an officer feels his life or others are in danger. That doesn't appear to be the case here.
4/19/2010 4:04:54 PM
HAHAHAHA
4/19/2010 4:06:00 PM
isnt there something about the expectation of privacy? and since the police officer acts as an agent of the local government he cannot have that expectation, thus there can be no illegal recording of the conversation? i dunno lol
4/19/2010 4:36:31 PM
How the hell is this considered private?"Anything you say may be used against you." They dont have to read it to you, its fact. Unfortunately, the laws about recording have not caught up to the times. It will require shit like this to happen for them to be rewritten...I wish it wasnt because some asshat decided to go 125 on the freeway with others around him though.[Edited on April 19, 2010 at 4:51 PM. the US is a police state. there are as many cops out at 2am on a friday or saturday night as there are drivers. too many fuckin cops
4/19/2010 5:08:46 PM
If this dude is dumb enough to do this crap on a highway then he is dumb enough to pull a gun. i feel the cop was ok with the way he handled it. not too sure about the cam thing though.i think he got off easy with a ticket.
4/19/2010 5:14:07 PM

Just so you know--you only need 1 party consent in NC for recording.[Edited on April 19, 2010 at 5:20 PM. Reason : N.C. Gen Stat. ยง15A-287(a) ]

surely i'm not the only one who noticed that this guy just doesn't look like the daredevil motorcyclist who would do wheelies and have a helmet cam to record it....?

most people that are good at anything are dorks, nerds, socially awkward, or professionals anyway. you can cover one in tattoos and long hair but a dork's a dork. especially one that would spend the money and time videoing his rides and uploading them online.
4/19/2010 5:45:54 PM
4/19/2010 5:54:22 PM
i'm just glad the guy on the bike was white so we wouldn't have to hear about this being race involved.
4/19/2010 5:57:31 PM
Sounds like another case of some dickheaded cop on a powertrip abusing his power. I am sure with a gun pointed at him the cyclist had more on his mind then obeying the do not record someone without consent law. Realistically this cop got caught look like a tool on video. To get even after having his panties in a wad, he made up an excuse to raid the dudes house to cover up the evidence. USA #1Perhaps the cop should use prudence before pulling his gun, stop trying to make up for his small penis by going on power trips, and actually remember the protect and serve aspect of his duty before being caught on camera behaving like a member of the Gestapo.[Edited on April 19, 2010 at 6:16 PM. and tww turns it into a political travesty. bravo.
4/19/2010 6:20:04 PM
The ideal situation: Biker would have had a CCW and killed the cop and then gone to jail for it. Two dumbfucks with one bullet.
4/19/2010 6:23:51 PM
Reminds me of this from last week:Baltimore cops beat up a drunk college student after the Duke game. Their sworn statement says that the kid assualted the cops and their horses and was injured when a horse kicked him. Video surfaces showing the cops rushing him and beating him with batons with no provacation. Officers are subsequently suspended.
