so the other day im driving down a fairly empty 64. i'm in the left lane and a cop quickly approaches me from the right lane. he turns on his lightS and merges over into my lane so i pull into a left hand turning lane prepared to find a place to stop. as soon as i pull over he flies past me and takes a left at the next available street and turns off his lights as he does so.

ok, so he had plenty of time and room to pass me on the right if he needed to make that left so bad, cant fathom anY logic behind his actions other than he just wanted to be a dick

Can't speak for the cop you're talking about but driving emergency traffic is a different beast than normal driving. Some people will absolutely freak out when the see the lights and swerve (most often to the right). He may have been doing it so if you weren't paying attention and did swerve it wouldn't be into him.
