We think the baby came onto the beach with the mom, or because it was too tired and the mom stayed in the ocean. With all the people around the mom wasnt going to come back onto the beach. So it needed to be taken to a rescue place that will teach it to eat, fish, and survive.

The mother wasnt anywhere to be seen.

California has epic beaches. Cold ass water though. The walk up to the parking lot, where we had to carry the seal, was a major bitch. Walked it 4 times with all the crap I did.
