it made me chuckle b/c i felt like that was one of the most cliche sounding old aunt names....

My grandfather (mom) was Norval, step-grandmother is Adelaide. Aunt's name is Judy but I think that's normal.

Grandfather (dad) is Auke and grandmother was...some weird Dutch name that I can't spell. Aunt is Marianne.

It's actually Fanettie. Not that it makes it any better or less ridiculous though. Her sisters are Reba, Swanell, and Evelyn.

My other grandmother's name is Ola Jean. Her sisters are/were Flonnie, Lena, Lucille, and Nellie.

My dad's parents, Fanettie and Goodman, named their children all with G names: Gerald, Gary (my daddy), Gena, and Georgette.

On Goodman's side of the family, there is always a "Nancy Ann" in each generation. I just love that name. Since we aren't having kids, I think I may name a dog Nancy Ann. Perhaps a beagle.
