WTF? or is my house really on fire and I just cant find it?

It has been sporadically going off for an hour or so. No one is cooking.

It is hard wired and does not take a battery.

I fucking hate a smoke alarm. Your dog will do a better job.

In our old house if one alarm's battery got low, they would ALL beep incessantly and I'd have to check every one of them, which sucks when one of them is about 18-20' in the air. This always happened at 3 am too.

^ It has a battery in it. Even the wired ones do, in case the power is out and a fire breaks out.

It should have a battery backup in case the power is out while your house is burning down.

There might be some dust in it causing it to go off, or you might need to change the backup battery

my smoke alarm goes off ALL the time cause of the steam from my shower

its RIGHT outside my bathroom and my bathroom is oldschool with no fan so i leave the door cracked

i'm sure at like 3am when i've randomly taken showers my neighbors are really excited. and at 6am too.

when mine went off w/o smoke/fire it was b/c I needed to change the battery...I know you've said it's hardwired, but there is still a battery. wouldn't hurt to change it and do a test to make sure it's working properly.

you know...b4 there really IS a fire.

Is it one with a light beam in it? I've had one of those get set off by dust during some remodeling. Might just need to clean
