If you have friends with blackberry then I'd go with that - blackberry messenger is a nearly unparalleled communication feature.

The Pre, in all these, still has my favorite user interface. Multitasking is brilliant, and the form factor is more friendly for pockets. To me it's kinda middle of the road of your choices - has the keyboard, and the touch screen, but is significantly smaller than the berry or droid.

And despite everyone wanting the latest/greatest the htc hero equivalent on verizon is still a great phone with lots of legs left in it. It may never see the newest software with flash, but it'll handle all your daily needs with grace.

So, if your friends dont have blackberry I'd get the Pre. Then the blackberry. Then the droid. Unless you want touchscreen over that awesome blackberry keyboard - then the droid over berry.

out of those three, palm pre for sure.

- blackberrys are boring
- pixis are TINY. so unless you have little baby hands, you will struggle to type on it.
- the pre is awesome except for the battery life. i can go a day with it being fine but it can drain super super fast if you're normally in an area with poor coverage
