Choking can leave visible bruising within 15 minutes if enough force is applied on the fatty soft tissue on either side of the larynx. If a 180 pound male is on top of a 110 pound woman banging her, putting his hands on her throat will leave an impression he exerts the same force his body weight and downward thrusting is exerting on her vaginal area.
