Is it just me or are pickle makers being complete jews about how big the jars are now? It seems like now when you start eating the pickles the juice goes down so fast that the rest of the pickles are sticking up out of it and they get all soggy and gross and the bottom half of the pickles are still crispy and normal. It seems like they used to have room to float around in the juice and not get all soggy and shit. Anyone else notice this phenomenon?

maybe you're just getting bigger instead of the jars getting smaller

That still does not explain the pickles only fitting upright.

NO CAPSSSSSSSS?

I have not noticed this problem, but I am not at all surprised. Apparently pickle jars have gone the way of the 3-Liter bottle and the 20oz six packs. It's all about cost and the bottom line.

just about all companies are trying to cut costsit's a good business practiceim sure someone did some retarded six sigma project on pickle juice

I mean common sense would tell you if all the pickles only fit upright and you start taking pickles out the juice is going to fall below the pickle line and make them all squishy and gross.

start making your own

then buy another brand

Where can I get old school pickle jars? Maybe I should just get a bigger jar, pour the rest of the old pickle juice in the bigger jar, and then the new jar of pickles and juice in the big jar. That would be like 200% of the juice and regular amt of pickles. Like a 2:1 ratio juice to pickles.

Solution: When you are done with the jar of pickles, save the juice. When you buy a new jar, pour the juice from the old jar in the new jar. Repeat with additional pickle jars.

190% pickle juice

Does the juice expire?

This problem could be avoided if you bought your pickles at the Farmers' Market where they aren't cheapskates about the pickle container to pickle juice ratio.

^omg win!

Pickle juice expires? I can't imagine that the expiration date is really short though... isn't the process of pickling supposed to preserve foods and make them last a lot longer?
