Anyone know of good places? I used to frequent Reds, but I'm not sure if they are still open (their website is expired). I'd like to take some more advanced lessons if anyone knows of anywhere that teaches.

^ Actually "beach" music got its name in the 30's and 40's when only places at the beach played black R&B music. People heard R&B and called it beach music because thats the only place you could hear it.Of course most blacks have since left the genre for rap and this crap they call R&B now, which is probably why you think the way you do.....

In an effort to break the "shitty white man's music" stereotype, I will post a picture of my favorite beach music band.

The WSA usually goes to TJ's Nightlife off Capital, and they usually have socials once a month during the semester where students can get in for free if you're a WSA member or discounted for being a student. Here's their facebook page:http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2200348657&ref=ts#!/group.php?gid=2200348657&ref=ts

Yep....Chairman is awesome.General got Chairman going in Detriot and signed with two producers left motown to form their own music label. They charted nationally a few times and got an offer from Barry G. to join motown but General turned him down. He didnt want to move to California. Listen to "Id rather be in Carolina" for his feelings on the subject.
