Turned out I had three teachers. The one teacher was absolutely terrified. I thought she was going to have a heart attack in the middle of the lesson

Naw, the system here for student teachers is stupid as hell. They come for two weeks and observe the classes. And that's it. Two weeks of observation, no courses on child psychology, classroom management, or curriculum planning, and they're expected to be top notch teachers

When they come to observe my classes though I make them participate in all the activities we do. I figure hands-on work is much better than passively standing in a corner, though it usually freaks them out. The most annoying thing is they don't like to speak English but they're training to become English teachers

^^ haha I'm seriously considering doing that in my last class here since by June I'll have stopped giving a crap officially.

^ Thankfully I teach high school and they're out of the kancho phase by then.
