Maybe I should call this diary the "I love Ricky Book" It seems that thats all I talk about. N E way I just got back from the outer banks and anywhere we went that there was sand I wrote "I <3 Ricky" all of my friends saw it. Then Wed night I cried b/c i want him to like me so much. Leslie, Ruth, + Bonnie all told me he was shy so I should make the move.
So on the way home I prayed to God asking for help then I got a gut feeling to write him a letter so I did and this is what I said.
"Ricky, I don't know how to start off this letter so I"ll just get to the point I like you. I'm not asking you out or anything. I just wanted to let you know. I haven't told any of my friends I wrote this to you so please don't tell your friends. If you don't like me mabey we could be friends. I'll understand if you don't like me, but could you please write back to tell me what you think Sarah"
I really do hope he writes me back. I really do hope he likes me. Well I'm changing the subject for once. At the outerbanks Mr. Mulligan wore shorts, and there was something about his legs that I liked. I don't know what but I just do. I found out when I caught my self staring at them. Scary huh. I'm in love with my Earth Science teachers legs! Gah, well the one thing I like about writing in this is I can spill my guts out and not get embarrased, like your a person who will never laugh or talk back. Well I tell you how it goes with Ricky but I got to sleep now bye.

^^yeah that's how mine was...the first entry was from the 8th grade and the last one was from junior year of high school.

There would be times that I'd skip a few months. But it's like I knew I was gonna come back and re read it because I would give updates about the last entry.

I can't believe how boy crazy I was back in the day.

One of my high school teachers had volumes of notebooks because he wrote something in them every day for something like 25 years. Not necessarily personal life stuff, just whatever he was thinking about at the time. He had all his students do that while in his class, and it was neat to look back on at the end of the semester. It would be kind of neat to do that again, but I doubt I'd have the discipline to do it every day.

Nah, I mean he and I are friends now and we talk, but nothing ever came from it. I think we danced once together at a middle school dance, and once after freshmen year of college we almost hooked up.

He actually was talking to me just recently and said he might come and visit me at the beach.

Maybe I should write that in my diary.

^I keep a journal now too. It kinda has a little bit of everything in it. But I mostly use it as a way to get out my emotions so I don't go all crazy on people anymore. But I also put in pictures and stories and random creative things that I think of.

^^Yeah I was hard core about praying then, a lot of my entries talked about how I prayed to God about things.

I even had an entry talking about how gay people are losers and sinners. I'm not too proud that I thought like that then.

^honestly, he's kinda like the one who got away for me. Of all the guys from my past that I liked, he is the only one that I never hooked up with...but I don't really care all that much anymore, I've turned a new leaf, I'm not into the random hook ups anymore.

All in all, a very successful and satisfying swim meet yesterday. Hopefully, the next one will be too."
