Yeah a quick search shows simple possession (<35g) is a Class A misdemeanor in MO, which is on the same level as violating the "basic speed rule" (driving too fast or too slow) and causing a traffic accident (it is also a Class A misdemeanor). I'd say that if you were going 10 over and rear-ended the car in front of you then you could expect the police to not come shoot your dog while issuing you the ticket/summons whatever. I'd also expect less sympathy for the police officer in that situation despite the crime being equally as harsh by MO statute.

This reminds me of the incident in Berwin Heights, MD when the cops accidentally stormed into the mayor's house looking for drugs and immediately shot the two black lab dogs they had.

Just a "misunderstanding" but tell that to the mayor and his wife, who had no children and treated their dogs as such

I mean the whole situation was fucked up. A dozen fully armored swat cops approach a residence in the middle of the night, bang on the door, yell Police/search warrant, wait approximately three seconds, kick the door in, swarm the house, shoot two dogs that bark at them, throw a groggy dude to the ground out of his bed, hustle the rest of the family out into the cold, and arrest the guy while fumbling for the fucking card to read him his rights. And, all of this for a simple fucking possession charge which is the equivalent of a speeding ticket. Sweet crime fighting you fascist fuckfaces. Thanks for protecting and serving the community by taking out this criminal mastermind and his pack of devil dogs. I salute you.

someone i know was raided by the police/swat whatever they are.
they busted open her door while her and her boyfriend were getting ready for work with guns and made them all get on the ground screaming at them
she has two big dogs and they were so scared they both shat all over the floor.
she was crying and they were both trying to talk to them because they didn't know what was going on
of course they were douches and kept telling them to shut up.

frankly, i dont see what is so difficult about gettign the right address unless they are acting on false information. Which means there should be a better system for obtaining warrants.

but as far as raiding procedure i see nothing wrong with how the raid are executed. You cant pussyfoot around and citizens are just as much dicks as the police are, especialluy criminal ones.

I remember when the police raided my house. They were looking for drugs, and of course didn't find any.... cause there were none there.

They threatened to shoot my dogs if I didn't tell them where my stash was at. I can only imagine something similar happened here.
