I just got off of work. Going to meet up with some people and do some productive beer drinking in a bit.

I am envious.

My mother bought me a bottle of Hana Fuji Apple Sake. I had a sample of her opened bottle and it was delicious. By far the best bottled alcoholic drink I've ever had. It meant a lot to me that she gave me a bottle...

My favorite sake is Shichihonyari. I used to think I didn't like sake until I tried this stuff. I have no idea if it's available in Raleigh since it's from a tiny brewery near me but the owner told me they sell it in NYC now

Definitely cold. Though I don't mind hot sake if it's one of those nights where I can see my breath in the apartment

Ahh.. interesting... I'll have to look into it. Maybe I could return the gesture and get my mother some... She's into collecting wine/sake bottles. I wonder if total wine can special order a case for me...

Thank you for sharing

As for productivity, I'm going to go home and have breakfast with my wife. As she leaves for work, I'm going to go to sleep for about 6 hours. I then must get up and wait for the plumber to come by the house and help remove the nasty 55 year old cast iron pipes underneath my house. I don't know what else to do during the day, but I'll be stuck at home until the task is complete. I suppose I could reorganize the shed. It's a slow night here at work. Especially this time of hour, although most people will be waking up in about half an hour and returning my messages left from last night.

If you wanted to be hard core you could email the brewery and see if they can ship you some sake. I have his business card lying around somewhere...

I'm down for being hardcore. I'm curious about international/importation/customs fees, but that's a non-issue. Maybe I can offer a trade with the Yakuza, offering them maybe some Jack or something in exchange for a few bottles of sake?

Yeah I don't really know how that works either to be honest.

Here's the email address: sake@7yari.co.jp The guy speaks pretty good English so I think as long as you kept the grammar simple enough you should be able to communicate

God gives every worm a horrific death,

but he does not kill the worm on his own.

You see, my god doesn't actually do anything, it's just that this statement sounds nice to me, tdubbers
