I leave Thursday afternoon, and I can't sleep tonight due to intense excitement. Let the 5 day bender begin. Anybody up late and been to Vegas lately?
5/19/2010 3:21:08 AM
I'm up late, but it was 2007 that I went to Vegas; however, I'm going back in October--w00t!
5/19/2010 3:26:15 AM
I've never been. Tonight all I've been doing is searching for blackjack table odds. This new 6-5 payout shit is retarded. I'm going to have to catch a damn cab to the shitty places so I don't get screwed by the house edge.
5/19/2010 3:30:07 AM
Leaving June 20th for a week out there. Been 3 times already and am excited to go back again.
5/19/2010 3:50:51 AM
ha, I just remembered you and I had Calc 1 together about 6 years ago.
5/19/2010 3:54:27 AM
5 days in Vegas? I would die.I think 3 days, 2 nights is my max.
5/19/2010 8:48:26 AM
yeah, 3 days is the max if you're going all out
5/19/2010 8:50:44 AM
6-5? Fuck that. Blackjack pays 6-5 -1.39%
5/19/2010 8:52:10 AM
I'm all excited about an extended Memorial Day trip to Hilton Head.

I've been wanting to see O for a long time, so we got tickets to see it tonight. They've got some special on tickets for Ka, and we'll go see it Tuesday night. Once the rest of the group shows up... the fun can begin
6/20/2010 9:17:26 PM
i went back in february for a big fashion trade show. i had a lot of fun but i didn't really get to do anything outside of the trade show. i really don't give a shit about the typical vegas experience, everything was just way too fake for me.
6/20/2010 9:44:14 PM
i like to get fucked up and go to shitty off-strip casinos
6/20/2010 9:44:49 PM

I'm going in February! Woo hoo!
10/6/2010 9:27:53 AM
Best meal in Vegas - go to Mesa Grille in Caesar's and get the pork tenderloin. It is to do for. The Palms in Caesar's is also good for lobster and what not. The VooDoo Steakhouse in the Rio is nice and has a great view from the 52nd floor of the Rio, but you can get good steaks everywhere.
10/6/2010 10:43:35 AM
I look forward to going again some day. But next time I plan to stay sober for at least some of the trip and seeing some of the shows.
10/6/2010 10:46:27 AM
Mesa Grill?that's Bobby Flay's restaurantI went to the one in Manhattan - it was good but a little saltyand it gave me the bubble guts
10/6/2010 11:03:01 AM

Nice! Where are you staying? We're deciding between Caesar's and Wild Bill's in Feb. Quite the contrast there.Planet Hollywood is a fun place to stay and play. We stayed there last time. Their Pleasure Pit is definitely worth a visit. For great burgers and beer, definitely check out Burger Bar, a concept of Chef Hubert Keller. http://www.fleurdelyssf.com/Also, for great sushi, be sure to check out Nobu. http://www.hardrockhotel.com/#/dine/nobu/ (I've only been to Nobu in the Bahamas, but my gf loves the one in Vegas as well. The Nobu in the Bahamas rocks!)[Edited on November 8, 2010 at 10:43 AM. Reason : k]
11/8/2010 10:38:53 AM
Be sure to check out....which I'm sure is incredibly different than every other pawn shop in the US...
11/8/2010 10:43:52 AM
we are stayin at the hilton. i might have to try that $20 trick to see if we can get a free upgrade i think we may already be planning on going to that sushi place, but i will have to get a good burger after because we all know that sushi only fills you up for about 30 minutes
11/8/2010 10:46:02 AM
^^^ I came here to post about the Burger Bar, BY FAR the best burger I've ever had (helped by the fact that I had a delicious Chimay to go with it)[Edited on November 8, 2010 at 10:46 AM. Reason : ^]
11/8/2010 10:46:07 AM
Their beer list rocks my world. I don't remember lobster as an add-on option. Is this new?
11/8/2010 10:51:31 AM
hows that interest in the Dave Matthews Band working out for you OP?
11/8/2010 10:51:47 AM
I wish I could convince my wife to stay at the Hilton, because I have enough points for a free weekend there. Unfortunately, it's not on the strip. I'll probably use them to go to Myrtle next summer.
11/8/2010 10:54:51 AM
I wish Planet Hollywood was still a Starwood-affiliated property. Our only good hotel near the strip is the Westin Casuarina. ^ What's the occasion for the Myrtle trip?
11/8/2010 10:58:04 AM
Just got back from a 7 day trip there... Excalibur is fun and cheap to stay! Black-jack switch for the win!
11/8/2010 11:22:37 AM
^x5Strip Burger, across the from Wynn, is pretty bangin' too I thought. But the burger in that picture looks awesome!
11/8/2010 11:25:47 AM
The menu at Stripburger looks pretty good. Burger Bar is a bit more upscale. The menu features Kobe Beef, truffle everything, lobster, etc. Here's one of their signature burgers:RossiniKobe beef, sautéed foie gras, shaved truffles, Madeira sauce, on onion bunNamed after a XIX th century Italian composer whose love for fine food was legendary. The preparation always includes foie gras, truffles and a rich brown sauce, in this case, Madeira.

36 days until I leave, cant wait
11/8/2010 11:55:26 AM
wants to go, wish I had money. I'll just stick to playing in new vegas I guess.
11/8/2010 1:13:49 PM
I'm going to Vegas for Thanksgiving, since it's roughly a halfway point for us to meet up with some friends who live in Salt Lake City. It's gonna be great; we'll eat at some fancy joint instead of cooking Thanksgiving dinner ourselves, see a show or two (thinking about one of the Cirque du Soleil shows), play a little poker, and hang out with friends. I could use the vacation.
11/8/2010 1:18:00 PM
sounds like an un-boring thanksgiving meeting. I should convince my family to do the same.
11/8/2010 1:18:59 PM
I highly recommend Cirque Du Soleil: Ká at the MGM Grand. It's their house exclusive show. I saw it back in 2007 and the whole act, flow, and music was simply amazing.
