5/25/2010 8:08:27 AM
selling bottled water in 1st world countries has to go down as one of the best scams in history.
5/25/2010 8:13:09 AM
^ agreed...at least buying things like propel or flavored water is no different than buying soda...it's all just flavored waterbut at least you're paying for FLAVOR

oh i agree about bottled water in first world countries being a scam! though i did drink the tap water in both vietnam and china. whoops. i didn't get sick though. i was staying in a pretty western hotel and they claimed it was safe to drink. none of the paranoid people drank it (and some of them ended up sick lol) but i drank it and got ice in my drinks.when we were out in the jungle though at dumpy little restaurants i did not drink the water, though. but i did eat the fresh fruit and shit so whatever.
5/25/2010 8:23:36 AM
the anal people wont eat fruit that you eat the skin still onif it's something that's peeled or pulled out of the shell, game on
5/25/2010 8:25:37 AM
yea i know - i just stopped caring after awhile. i also at street food. i wanted to experience shit and i didn't end up sick so...whoops. i just tried to exercise common sense when choosing street vendors to eat at.
5/25/2010 8:27:24 AM
i did the same.what's the point of going otherwise?the only thing i didnt do was drink the water from the faucets in the hotel i was at in shenzhen...mostly because they provided like 5 liters of pellegrino per day in the hotel, so why bother

5/25/2010 9:13:19 AM

huge waste of energy and resources for places that have good tap watertap water #1
5/25/2010 12:51:00 PM
there was a taste test done in new york by someone and 9 out of ten preferred new york city tap water over evian.
5/25/2010 1:07:22 PM
and then someone decided to bottle and sell NYC tap water and made millions doing it.
5/25/2010 1:08:59 PM
shh dont tell
5/25/2010 1:13:01 PM
Probably because Evian is French.. and as Americans, it is our duty to hate the French.
5/25/2010 1:21:48 PM
should have specified blind taste test

NYC tap water does taste goodi drink tap water all the time - i used to have a brita pitcher (and i still do but i don't really use the filter part, i just like to chill my water)and as already mentioned in non 1st world countries i'm a baller and dabble in the tap water. ohhhhh riskyyyyyyyy business. but not as risky as taking a shot of a beating snake heart apparently. after eating street food, skin on fruits and veggies and drinking the water, i was fine (i still exercised caution though about WHERE i chose to eat/drink from). dude who drank (well swallowed, anyway) the beating snake heart - not so fine. can't say i'm shocked
5/25/2010 1:54:46 PM
The reason why pizza is so good in NYC (personal preference I know) has a lot to do with the minerals in the tap water used with the crust.

same thing with most brewerys/distilleries.moving locations to these types of factories can drastically change the product.
