why does the dog having been shot automatically imply abuse? why not a hunting accident?

I am strictly against pet abuse, and enjoy little more than wrestling in the yard with my shepherds. However, if they were this wounded I would not hesitate to put them out of their misery and give them a nice little burial out in the woods.

^^Well, in this case I'd say it's b/c the dog in question is a puppy.^agreed.

^^^If the dog has a good shot at a full recovery and quality of life there's nothing wrong with it. FWIW I'd say that the doctors don't often get to do this type of stuff so they're more likely to do it especially if they can get paid for it.
