i use a $10 unit from wally world to heat the bottom of my snakes' enclosurethey seem to like it well enough

do you have access to a microwave?the best heating pad i've had was called like a lava pack or something. it was filled with a gel like substance and could be heated up in the microwave (then placed in protected cover) OR it could be frozen to double as an icepak. it got SUPER hot. i don't have a link for it though. i've had mine for yearssssssssssss. but i'm pretty sure its something you can buy at like walgreens/walmart/cvs/etc.you could also try the microwavable rice heating pads but i don't think those get as hot.
