Sure it's possible. Allow an hour a day for strenuous exercise like running or biking, and stick to a strict diet of the basics I would think: meat, vegetables and water.

You can do it, but I'd be careful. Losing 5 lbs per week is probably at the upper limit of weight lost while working out. It is probably border-line unhealthy.It really depends on how long you've been inactive, I believe.

I'd imagine if I suffered a debilitating leg injury, my physique would suffer considerablyI've done a nice job of curbing my drinking from 5 nights a week to 2-3But the lack of daily running, tennis or basketball, coupled with the Haagen Dazs I use as a coping mechanism when I'm depressed, would surely lead to significant lard buildup

a year of reduced activity due to leg issues has turned me into a fat fuck. Breaking a leg is a surefire way not to lose weight.....I too need to crack down on this shit, but lack motivation.

the second 20 will be much harder to lose than the first 20I know when I did Atkins I dropped 20 pounds in the first month, then it took me a good 3 months to lose the second 20

its not, i make that weight cut in about 2 weeksi can go from 205 to 185 in a week and a half easynot recommending it, but in an emergency it is possibly if you want to look cut up real fast

two weks out im eatin 5 meals a day, no red meat just chicken and fish, vegetables, fresh fruits and "superfoods" dont really go into details about composition of each meal, just carbs are extremely limited, most of the come from the fruit i eat, i drink a lot of green tea, i AVOID juices its better not to drink them, fruit is enoughon the weekend i do not consume carbs (since I am not doin anything i do not need to consume them during the weekend) i still eat 5 times a day usually step on the scale monday 2 pounds less than friday on monday i drink water by the gallon and cut out all sodium, if i drink 4 pounds of water i will piss out 6 the next day. I do that every day for the next 3 days. eating vegetables and lean chicken and fish i even stop eating fruit but I still drink low sodium drinks (personally i stick to the diet green tea its safe for me). on friday i consume nothing and work strenuously to get rid of as much water as possible by the end of the day i will have lost the 20-25 poundsI work out twice daily everyday, long distance running, circuit lifting, and anaerobic activity no work out should be longer than 40 minutes of actual activity (not like the time blocked out it takes to comlpete the workout)calories are not somethin i try to account for because honestly you need the calories, i dont particularly carb count my "carb reduction" is actually just limiting breads and carbs that are accounted for by sugarssodium cutting is pretty fuckin important but you dont need to do that until 3 days before you need to look good, you need to be real careful of the foods you eat moreso than the drinks when it comes to sodiumive taken bad cuts where i have been unable to move because ive actually stripped calories and unnecessarily limited carbs and ive had excellent cuts where ive still had plenty of enrgy because i did it as above.if you gonna look good, you cant feel like shit it aint worth it[Edited on June 30, 2010 at 1:16 PM. Yeah, what fighters do is crazy. Had a roommate who fought at a professional level and was training to compete in a worldwide tournament and he was on a ridiculous diet, supplement, and nutrition plan. He wouldn't even put seasonings on his food because he didn't know their nutritional content.
