This is a thinly veiled coverup. They wanted to make sure their new product had 'more signal' than their previous, so a little programming trickery with a logarithmic scale and viola! 5 bars where there is one!Oh, and new software! (but only for 32GB+ owners. If you can't afford the huge model you'll just have to buy another one - nevermind it's the same hardware.)[Edited on July 3, 2010 at 2:50 PM. Reason : rawr, who is still buying this stuff?]

^this is Apple we're talking aboutAnd they could find fecal coliform bacteria on all the screens and two things are sure to happen: Apple call it a feature OR promise to fix it and do nothing for a year // still sell a million or 2.

I like how CNN went to mulitple locations and did interviews with people standing in line asking them about the iphone 4 reception problem and 9/10 said they either didn't care or believed it to be a hoax.I laugh at those idiots for buying a pos, I'll stick with the 4g EVO. Pretty cool that Raleigh was one of the first cities to get 4g.
