I need to write a cover letter for my boss for a project we're working on, how should I end the letter so that it is from my boss but shows that I've written it? I know there's a formal way to do it but I'm not an english major

If you want to be "proper" about it, the very last thing on the letter (below even the CC and enclosure lines) should be your initials. That's all.
