its not like I read about these kids on Pitchfork or in fucking Vice Mag or something

I met them
with my person
we were friends

then I saw the music they had been doing and I loved it

we should all be supportive of the innovative things happening in NC's music - it is one of our strongest exports and way better to be known for than racism or something terrible

I remember when we got their first release from Carpark - Super Animal Brothers III

I was working at Studio 360 from PRI and WNYC and the advance copy came in and I got really excited and played it for my coworkers so now they all think I'm into spazzy dance-pop something-or-other

I mean I already had a copy of the album they had given me when we were hanging out on the LES doing an interview
