Cheap as hell, some consider nasty...but damn, I love this stuff. The regular old one...with the powdered cheese. Fuck that goop premium shit. It ain't as good.
8/23/2010 12:01:59 AM
FAT PEOPLE UNITE.I, too, love this shit.
8/23/2010 12:02:18 AM

8/23/2010 12:03:18 AM
Goop premium shit for the win.Feel your heart struggle.
8/23/2010 12:05:05 AM
Velveeta is nasty. Premium shit is just unnaturally goopy...like it was made by a bunch of Oompa Loompas whacking off into a big kettle.
8/23/2010 12:07:42 AM
I love dat 190% oompa loompa chz spunk.
8/23/2010 12:08:27 AM
that stouffer's shit is awesome
8/23/2010 12:11:41 AM
i used to think velveeta (and the kraft deluxe) were nasty toountil i did 2 things with them1. if i'm making it the normal lazy way, i just add milk and butter (just like the powdered kind) to make it less sticky. it makes it really good2. if i'm not feeling as lazy, i make a quasi homemade baked mac n cheese. still use milk and butter like the powdered kind but i also add an egg and shredded cheese then bake it in the oven! you can add breadcrumbs too. its so easy and a cheap/quick sub for real homemade kind^ and yes, the stouffer's is fabulous. its even better when you have the 45 minutes to cook it in the oven. then it gets all crispy and yummy[Edited on August 23, 2010 at 12:17 AM. Well, that sounds like it might be worth trying...But in the meantime, I just ate a pot of the white trash cuisine. Good old plain jane Mac'n Cheese. Now I think my cravings have been sated. And now I feel like going and fucking my cousin, trailer park style.
8/23/2010 12:21:47 AM
i still like the powdered kind though and the white cheddar powdered kind, too
8/23/2010 12:22:32 AM

8/23/2010 12:23:06 AM

^^ you cook it according to the packagethen you add the goopy cheesei add milk and butter (to make it creamy and less sticky/goopy)crack an egg, mix it inthen i pour it into a pyrex dishthe oven will have been preheated to like 350then sprinkle the sprinkle cheese on top and breadcrumbs if you want thatthen bake for 20-30 mins until it looks doneyou don't have to add the egg but the egg gives it the like K&W mac n cheese clumpy consistency
8/23/2010 12:32:46 AM
you cant use the powdered cheese ?
8/23/2010 12:34:26 AM
yea i'm sure you can. i've never done it that way but i'm sure you can just prepare the powdered cheese kind according to the package directions and then follow the same stepspour mixture into pyrex dish, add egg, shredded cheese, etc.
8/23/2010 12:36:39 AM
i will try this tomorrow and report back
8/23/2010 12:37:54 AM
8/23/2010 12:37:57 AM
^^ if you do powdered i'd probably add a little extra milk than usual at the end. just so it doesn't get super dry when you bake it. that is the only problem i can think of though!
8/23/2010 12:44:12 AM
I want more Mac 'n Cheese. And now I'm thinking about some baked skettis!

8/23/2010 2:55:45 PM
goddammit, I have done it again...ate another whole pot, but to add insult to injury, I thieved the cheese pack out of another box so I'd have double the cheesy powdery goodness. Left the milk out and threw in a whole stick of margarine. My ass and my gut have just doubled in size. But it was worth it. Sometimes I don't mind bein' a fatty.

8/24/2010 2:24:52 AM
I agree with the OP word for word
8/24/2010 2:26:07 AM
stealing the cheese packet from another box to make double cheese is completely normal.i'm serious.and sometimes when i don't have milk i just make it with extra butter.i thought this was commonplace. actually, i'm pretty sure that it is because i know other people that do it, too
8/24/2010 2:54:01 AM
so what do you do with the cheeseless macaroni?
8/24/2010 2:55:03 AM
make something else with it! or just enter a cycle of stealing cheese packets.

I'm going to rain on the parade and say that while I love this and the good ol' memories of eating it.. yumm..I was in fact reminded, by this thread, that I wanted to buy some Ego Waffles, but the only place you can get them (well, that I recall) around here is Costco, and so I didn't buy them yesterday because I didn't want a whole ton of them in my freezer.
