9/25/2010 11:28:46 AM

9/25/2010 11:38:36 AM

this festival has fail written all over itwho plans these things? the only thing that could possibly redeem this for me is if theres facepainting. if theres facepainting i'm going to be mad i didn't go
9/25/2010 3:31:17 PM
I'm gonna head out later tonight to the Amore's afterparty
9/25/2010 3:35:32 PM
i'd like to check it out but i'm not sure it'll be impressive. luckily the ruckus curb party is tonight [Edited on September 25, 2010 at 3:36 PM. Reason : if i ever get this homework done! stop distracting me tww!!]
9/25/2010 3:35:42 PM
I hope 'GetDownSon Ent' gets huge one day so they can go public and have MSNBC hosts talking about their modest gains at the nyse for the quarter
9/25/2010 4:17:53 PM
i am too tired for the beer garden
9/25/2010 4:26:23 PM
9/25/2010 6:37:36 PM
yea the drinking outside in the street part is cool for sure. i don't know why but being able to drink outside in the street always makes things better haha. i'm sad no facepainting. i almost came out but...without balloon animals and facepainting i just couldn't bring myself to do it
9/25/2010 6:40:15 PM
They needed better food vendors and better bands, but I did get into the beer garden for free (and really you could get as many samples as you wanted) so I still had a good time.
9/25/2010 6:42:54 PM

i went and enjoyed the 2nd half of the football game, the beer garden. makes me all nostalgic walking around campus
9/25/2010 7:15:31 PM
not worth the traffic problems it caused. but it's only like the 2nd or 3rd year they've tried this. there's definitely some room for it to become a moderately significant event in Raleigh.

Maybe one yr it'll be like rhythm & roots reunion. Or probably not.
9/25/2010 10:33:52 PM
Support our street drink skeet
9/26/2010 3:50:23 AM
I dont care what any of yall haters say- it was fun out there . And the vendors at the beer garden hooked it up for us. I had probably 10~ samples, left and walked down the street to sober up some, came back and had 10 more (and im sure I could have gotten more if I wanted but I felt.terrific at that point)
9/26/2010 7:47:01 AM
dude... the beer garden was well worth the 9 bucks. i got shitfaced.
9/26/2010 8:16:13 AM
If you had to be at the beer garden to enjoy the whole event then it was a fail. Raleigh Wide Open has a beer garden, but they have great vendors, more activities and better bands. We enjoyed ourselves, yes. But the event as a whole was 5.5/10.
9/26/2010 9:43:59 AM
I got poopfaced at the bier gartenyep, definitely didn't limit anybody's samples. we had 20+ eachi loved the event!
9/26/2010 9:48:54 AM

Hopefully there will be more festivities of this nature downtown soon
9/26/2010 10:55:57 AM
I wanted to check out raleigh wide open, I was just under the weather- if they do anything like that again downtown, i'll definitely go check it out (especially if they do it when it isn't 95 degrees again)
9/26/2010 10:58:51 AM
wearing a long-sleeved shirt yesterday proved to be a bad ideathe pits still haven't fully dried...
9/26/2010 11:15:42 AM
lol hope you weren't drinking milk, to boot
9/26/2010 11:16:23 AM
this was the 5th year of raleigh wide open; and i recall it being very pleasant when we went. but i do remember you being under the weather and sad you missed out on wrestling (which was awesome!)but what i like about these types of things, aside from beer gardens and street drinking--cause I DO like that; hell I have a pulse , are the vendors. i like seeing what's going on around our area and meeting or learning about new artists and businesses. at RWO I picked up a number of cards of local shops and artists that make jewelry, clothes, and other products. i also like the music, but aside from the band doing covers down by PR at 6:30 I was meh on the music.so from that aspect, this wasn't a good one for me. you and I just like different things at our festivals...
9/26/2010 11:19:51 AM
